Announcement: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all SGA meetings have been suspended for the rest of the Spring semester. All activities mentioned during this meeting may be postponed or canceled.
March 10, 2020 6:00 p.m.
The Student Government Association (SGA) held its weekly meeting in 307 Alumni Hall.
SGA Fund Balance: $143,305.84
COF Fund Balance: $276,890.34
The minutes of the previous meeting were tabled for the next meeting and the executive board gave their reports. President Seungho Lee reported that on April 8, there will be a large passenger bus going to Harrisburg to advocate for the Nellie Bly Scholarship. Carl Helrich presented the changes in the CoF policy regarding gifts, spirit items, and prizes. Parliamentarian Zhamya Hampton presented changes to the SGA Constitution. The changes were labeled for the next meeting.
During new business, SGA approved to sponsor Zhamya Hampton for an event that would take place during the first days of Spring Fling, featuring water ice and pretzels. SGA then approved to sponsor Tony Mastrionni $10,700 for the Spring Fling Festival. The festival would sponsor Bobby K Entertainment, a country and hip hop artist.
During announcements, Joellen Lindner, speaking on behalf of Dusty Zeyn, announced that Chancellor Greenstein will be on campus on April 9, 2020. He has asked to meet with SGA. Zhamya Hampton announced that the nominations for Executive Board positions for SGA are the last week of March and voting will take place during early April.
